Before email, letters were the way to communicate. They took thought and were the effort of a deep friendship. Viewing some letters to friends over the years, these seven all had basis in Catholic faith often in apologetics which did not mean being sorry for something, an apology, but defending something, giving systematic reasons for a belief or stand. Catholicism often requires apologetics for its chronic way of getting into trouble, the trouble of being misunderstood. Hopefully these seven letters will answer those who take issue with the Church; the last is not that, but states a personal case that is danger of being forgotten and may be general enough to help others.
