The Catholic Diagram Teacher Site is the outgrowth of years of learning, loving, and teaching the Faith of Jesus Christ in the Roman Catholic Church. Becoming Catholic is a lifetime adventure for everyone. What we present is for those baptized Catholics who filled with the Holy Spirit are responding to the Church’s strong encouragement to become a closer, knowing friend of Jesus. We have special thought for those who may be newly considering the claims of the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ.
About Us

Nancy Cross
Nancy received Christian formation in the North Baptist Church, Flint, Michigan where her grandfather was minister for 27 years. At age twelve her family transferred membership to the First Presbyterian Church. She met Robert at Kalamazoo College, married, then completed her degree. The couple had eight children. Adopting four who were orphaned in a tragic auto accident completed the family. When the Holy Spirit led a group of Presbyterian women to look again at the Bible truths of the role of woman, an art/music/narration drama was developed. The Baptism of the Holy Spirit transformed her religious life and stimulated a life-long search for Truth. The insights gained eventually led to the Catholic Church. Â The entire family made their profession of faith at the Cenacle Retreat House in Wayzata, MN, at the Christmas Eve Mass in 1971. From that time with the help of uncounted faith-filled Catholics, she has taught Bible classes, Apologetics and RCIA. Her studies and life experience have resulted in a long list of unpublished books.

Bob Cross
Deacon Robert was baptized with a brother and sister in the First Baptist Church in Kenosha. He served with the US Army in World War II and graduated magna cum laude from Kalamazoo College before earning a degree from Andover Newton Seminary in Newton Centre, Massachusetts. Robert married Nancy (Vercoe) in 1949. Â He was ordained and served the Baptist Church in Antrim, NH. He was accepted into the Presbyterian Church and served as a minister for ten years in Flint, Michigan. Here Chemical Dependency became a full-time occupation at Hurley Hospital where the Hurley Chalk Talks developed.
In a spiritual search he received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit at the Episcopal Cathedral in Detroit, transforming his ministry. Moving the family to Minneapolis he began a treatment program at the Hennepin County Hospital, and for many years presented the Chalk Talks in hospital and treatment centers in the area. Led by the Holy Spirit, he became a Catholic in 1971, and in 1976 was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church. He has served as a deacon and pastoral minister at the Basilica of St. Mary, Minneapolis, St. Joseph Church, Taylors Falls, MN and St. Peter Church, Forest Lake, MN. A Men’s Bible class begun at St. Peter Church, Forest Lake, MN has continued for forty years. Called by Bishop Robert Carlson, Sioux Falls, SD, he administered St. Peter Parish in Colman, SD.  Retiring to Lake Michigan, he served at St. Francis de Sales Church in Manistique, MI. for thirteen years. Retired, he and Nancy are living in St. Croix Falls, WI. They  have ten living children (two deceased), thirty-four grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.
Because of the immense depth and breadth of the ocean of Catholic Faith, we are only able to wade in these lessons. Where there is truth, it has been taught to us, and where there is error, it is our own misunderstanding. Alongside of the Bible, we strongly urge a visitor or student to own and use the Catechism of the Catholic Church with its amazing clarity and adherence to the Truth of God.
